| MYSTERY SNAILS | ||
|---|---|---|
| Albino ( Brown shell, Albino body ) | $ .75 each |
Mystery snails are the most popular snail
introduced into a pond. Their colors and limited reproductive habits
virtually eliminate overpopulation commonly associated with snails. They
are also noted for eating only dead or dying vegetation & algae. In
other words they will keep up with dead foliage, but won't make a meal
of your prized Lilly. Mystery snails also lay clusters of eggs, above
the waters surface, making removal of unwanted offspring relatively
simple. Look for a 1.5-2" hardened blob of caviar or small fish
eggs the size of the head of a pin. Remove and discard any unwanted
clusters, as the emerging snail must fall to water to begin the life
cycle. *-Highly Visible |

prey for any large predators, such as hawks, raccoons, etc... This may
be a concern when stocking your pond. |
