We will replace any of our livestock that fails to arrive at its destination* alive. Our fish and invertebrates are packaged to live beyond the 48 Hr. shipping time allowed by IATA ruling. Please DO NOT open your bags at the airport, DO NOT change water and /or add any chemicals to your new arrivals.
Suggested acclimation routines below.

ACCLIMATION

Take care to retrieve your new pond occupants as soon as they arrive at the airport. If possible, meet the incoming plane as if it were your in-laws arriving. Upon your arrival at the pond, be sure to allow for water displacement when you float the new fish. Not a problem with outdoor ponds, but spillage may occur with indoor tanks and waterfall / pond units. Float the bags for approximately 10-15 minutes in the pond to allow for any temperature differences in the water. Next, open the bags and add approximately 1/3 more pond water to the bags. This will dilute any ammonia's or toxins present and allow for an easier transition into the pond. After 5-10 Min., release your friends to their new home ! In the case you will be introducing the fish into an indoor tank, pond, or pool ( or any closed ecosystem ), please DO NOT introduce bag water into your system as this could present a problem to your biosystem. The introduction of any additional ammonia or toxins can tip the delicate balance of an indoor closed system. This is not the case with a backyard or outdoor system of reasonable size.
